Overview:
The role of a Device Associate III at Amazon is centered around executing test case instructions, analyzing automated regression outputs, and ensuring the quality and functionality of software builds for devices. This role supports Amazon's device testing efforts in a lab-based environment, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of test results for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases designed to validate software builds.
- Report bugs and discrepancies with high accuracy.
- Understand and follow testing guidelines for new releases.
- Write and maintain test scenarios and cases for new modules/features.
- Conduct regression and repetitive tests without sacrificing quality.
- Use dashboards and tools for daily test data entry and tracking.
- Communicate effectively and escalate issues as needed.
- Utilize clarification portals to resolve doubts within SLAs.
- Maintain test labs and hardware farms.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results.

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MSc (IT/Computer Science/ECE/EEE)
- Good understanding of device testing processes and the Linux operating system
- Willingness to perform repetitive testing tasks
- High energy levels, proactive approach, strong sense of ownership, and commitment to meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with device testing
- Knowledge or experience in Embedded Systems or Multimedia testing
Working Environment:
You’ll work in a fast-paced, lab-based setup with multiple devices and software builds under testing. You are expected to manage deadlines, stay organized, and maintain high-quality standards while executing repetitive tasks.
